got the link to yor blog from chris z’s blog!

This reminds me of an acoustic song by Ben Kweller, called “On My Way”, find it if you can, its a sweet little song.

I heard him on the radio explaining how he wrote the song. He had a guitar chord progression stuck in his head, but no lyrics to go with it, whilst on a flight to Japan. So he wrote down 5 things: murderer, thief, listener, friend and lover. Then he wrote the lyrics from that, all on the plane!

Hi Nudge, nice to “see” you!

Oh, I’m not that creative. I’ve only written one song in my life. In grade 6, I wrote an “Anthology of Ologies” and it was basically a list of words ending in -ology. For example, “Ornithology, let’s study birds. Ideology, thoughts in herds.” Brilliant, eh.

No, I was trying to compose the list into a little ditty to the tune of “My favourite things”. I got as far as:

“Ticking things off on my Palm Tungsten C
Good and bad singing at karaoke…”

    Very bad, yes? 🙂

The 5am wake-up needs to be explained. There are only two situations that I like 5am wake-ups.

    1. When I wake up, glance blearily at the clock and think, “5am — phew! Another two hours. Back to sleep…” and I snuggle down into my blanket.

    2. When something exciting is happening like a going away holiday or a birthday party!
