We’re a third of the way through the semester. I’ve spent four weeks cruising along, doing the minimum work required. Today, I thought it was time to get organised.

I have a wonderful organiser in my Palm. Once something gets written down in it, it gets done. Unfortunately, I have this bad habit of not writing down the things that I don’t want to deal with, in the hope that it’ll go away. Of course, it doesn’t. Instead, stupidly, I endure a vaguely uncomfortable feeling of nervousness.

So today, I decided to get into gear and write down every minute chore I had to do. My Palm ‘To Do’ list ballooned from about 10 items to 50. Whoa. This is the first time I seriously had to use the ‘Category’ function for the To Do list.

Now I know what I’m doing and I feel better for it. The anti-Joan phase has passed.
