Am most excited about our annual formal ball this Friday. I’ve coordinated it this year. It’s been pretty low stress. I’ve delegated much of the detailed work away to people in small, bite-sized manageable tasks so everyone’s happy to help. I’ve kept control of the big vision things, like music, programme, floorplan, menu.

The one menial task that I’ve taken upon myself is assigning names to the tables. We have a ‘Fire & Ice’ theme so I’ve taken great delight in choosing appropriate names like Jalepeno, Phoenix, Glacier and Icicle.
