Some people have asked about the green skies in photos that I posted a few days ago. On my laptop screen, the green is a nice mild-mannered diffuse heavenly tinge. I edited the photos using Picasa2. I kind of liked the green reflection of the oval in the sky. However, when I saw the photos on flatscreens, LCDs and CRTs elsewhere, the skies looked toxic green. Wah! If only I could control all the screens in the world!

Did you use Picasa2 for all your photo editing? I am currently shopping for a photo editing software, and software like adobe photoshop cost a bomb!
I use Picasa2 for photos I put on my blog and some I put on Flickr. It’s because the image quality doesn’t matter so much on the web. I also deliberately reduce the resolution to limit the amount of space the photos take up.
If I do anything more important (like printing or photo competitions — not that I’ve done this yet!) I’ll use GIMP, which has lots of the functionality of Photoshop but it’s free. I don’t know how to use many of its features but I can at least do colours and levels!
